JRL Design, Inc. recently completed these two High Performance Bathroom remodel for an Ambler, PA family. They included the existing bathroom on the second floor and the new Master Suite bathroom where none existed. We incorporated the services of an engineer to assist us with drawings and site evaluations to ensure proper structural design and support. Our customer desired a spa like master bathroom and we delivered. We incorporated their design and functional needs with our High Performance techniques which included Sustainable and Universal design features. Sustainable practices included WaterSense devices, Low VOC custom cabinetry designed and constructed locally, electric warm floor heating for zone heating, and Spray foam Polyurethane insulation. Universal Design techniques included grab bars throughout the shower areas, Comfort Height Toilets, bench seating both external to the shower and in the shower, and “C” pulls hands on doors and cabinetry. By utilizing our High Performance Remodeling techniques, JRL Design, Inc. accomplished the customer’s needs for the two new bathrooms that improved their health, safety and indoor air quality and saved them money.
